The National Research and Development Institute for Industrial Ecology –ECOIND has 25 years of experience in the field of environmental protection. The main research activities are connected with environmental technologies, pollution assessment, pollution control and monitoring for water, air and soil. The Institute is also involved in service activities like: technical assistance and expertise in field, consulting and audit for quality and environmental management systems, training for implementation of new techniques and methods of analyses in environmental laboratories. The activity is developed in national and international programs of research and also by direct contracts with public and private companies.
ECOIND has implemented an integrated Quality Management System EN ISO 9001/EN ISO 17025.
The role of ECOIND in Leonardo da Vinci project, in collaboration with other partners, will consist in:
identification of companies from Romania with an important potential of environmental pollution;
elaboration of the questionnaire addressed to the mentioned companies for labor force need and market research regarding the requirements for labor force qualified in the field of environmental monitoring and control;
preparation of the web site of the project with information about companies needs and labor force offer in the field of environmental monitoring and control.
Elaboration of a curricula and of the training course for:
Laboratory Quality Assurance System and Management of Laboratory Activity in the Field of Environmental Monitoring and Control;
Legislation and Standardization in the Field of Environmental Monitoring and Control.
Elaboration of a laboratory guide with exercises for the course:
Laboratory Quality Assurance System and Management of Laboratory Activity in the Field of Environmental Monitoring and Control.
Experimentation and evaluation of the training material in the Romanian economic and social context.
Training materials publication (translation in English and multiplication of the Romanian form of CD-ROM).
Teaching activities within the teaching module in Romania.
Organization of workshops in Romania to present the project results to the Romanian authorities, companies, universities.
Dissemination of workshops conclusions and training module on Web page, lectures, posters, etc.
